Dayna Charlebois TEP, CES

Estate Product Specialist

Dayna Charlebois came to the estate and trust field with an unusual foundation for the work: a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Communications from the University of Ottawa. That background — built around clarity, listening, and translating complexity into language people can act on — turns out to be exactly what estate administration demands at its best.

Dayna spent six and a half years at Royal Trust Corporation of Canada — RBC's trust arm and one of the most respected trust institutions in the country — building a rigorous foundation in estate and trust administration. She managed complex accounts for high-net-worth clients in both corporate and agent-for-executor/trustee capacities, regularly navigating matters involving commercial and residential real estate, investment holding companies, and cross-border assets in the U.S. and abroad. She also earned her STEP Certificate and TEP designation during this time.

Dayna joined ClearEstate in February 2022, bringing the full depth of her trust company experience to a firm built on the belief that expert estate guidance should be accessible to every Canadian family — not just those with institutional-scale wealth. She earned her Certified Estate & Trust Specialist (CES) designation from the Institute of Business and Finance later that year. Rising quickly through the organization, she moved from Estate Professional to Manager, Estate Solutions where she led a team of subject matter experts, oversaw client experience quality, managed relationships with external counsel and partners, and collaborated across Product, Finance, and Customer Experience teams to drive operational excellence. Her cross-jurisdictional expertise in Canadian and U.S. estate and trust administration made her a go-to resource for the most complex client files the team encountered.

In January 2025, Dayna moved into her current role as Estate Product Specialist, where she serves as ClearEstate’s internal subject matter authority on estate and trust administration. She is the trusted point of reference for ClearEstate’s teams on complex estate matters, shapes the quality and rigour of the company’s estate planning and settlement services, and ensures that ClearEstate’s guidance to clients reflects current industry standards and best practices.

Dayna’s commitment to the estate and trust community extends well beyond her professional role. She has been an active member of the STEP Ottawa Branch Executive Committee since June 2022, serving first as Student Liaison Officer, then as Deputy Chair, and — as of June 2026 — as Chair. She also serves as a Director on the STEP Canada National Board of Directors. This progression reflects both the respect she has earned within the Ottawa estate planning community and her genuine investment in supporting the next generation of estate professionals.
